Bologna, Nicola Zanichelli, 1928, in-8, legatura editoriale in piena tela blu scuro, titolo in oro entro cornice su piatto anteriore, titolo in oro al dorso, pp. [4], 330, [2]. Con figure n.t. Prima edizione. C. Bernadini – L. Bonolis “Enrico Fermi, His work and legacy”, Springer, 2010, p. 333: “In 1928, Fermi published his brilliant textbook Introduzione alla fisica atomica, which filled a major Italian academic textbook gap. Very little of modern physics was known or taught in Italy at the time. Relativity had flourished in the hands of mathematicians such as Tullio Levi-Civita and Guido Castelnuovo, but quantum theory and atomic physics were essentially absent. Fermi was impatient with older peoples’ resistance to the new developments of quantum mechanics; he spoke on the subject to professional mathematicians less familiar with the experimental background of physics”. Manca la sovraccoperta, per il resto condizioni ottime con solo qualche rara nota a matita marginale.
FERMI Enrico.
